Gymnastics and Cheer Tumbling Classes
Over the past 40 years we have developed a unique and successful way to teach youth gymnastics. Our students follow a developmentally progressive movement curriculum that begins at 24 months of age, and continues through high school. It is important that our students are always learning, having fun and gaining more and more confidence and independence with each class. Gymnastics is the foundation of all sports. Physical fitness, as well as confidence, strength, coordination, balance, body rotation, jumping, hand-eye skills, and kinesthetic awareness are improved through gymnastics. We motivate our students in a safe, stimulating, non-competitive atmosphere.
Descriptions of class goals are outlined below!
One month tuition refund guarantee for all first time students!

Get Moving! For those children who are serious about their own development who wish to fast tract to more advanced levels.Physical fitness tests will be administered quarterly to show all our competitors the relationship of flexibility, strength, power, coordination, and agility to athletic skills and performing confidence.
Brain Boost! Maintaining attention and sustained concentration is essential for success in this more intense team class development. Increased problem-solving and the ability to follow more complex directions are required and developed along with skill acquisition.
Citizen Kid! Advanced gymnastics improve confidence in social settings, active group participation, learning to manage emotions, and increasing willingness to take on leadership roles. Realistic goal setting and physical work for achieving these goals is a great part of this sport. It is also a great part in all “life skills” as children mature with age.

Our staff is professional and knowledgeable: Other gyms may have different instructors on a weekly basis. Other Gyms may use non-professional high school instructors. Other gyms may also have overloaded classes with long inactive times while children wait in line. Please understand, it is not the time spent in the gym that counts, it is the quality of instruction that decides the success of students. You know there is a difference when parents comment to us: “my child has learned more in one class than she has learned during months of instruction at her old gym”. Yes we do charge more, but, there is a difference.
Our guarantee: Perpetual Motion has a one month satisfaction guarantee for first time students only. The total tuition cost of the first 4 weeks of classes will be refunded if customer satisfaction is not met or if it is “just not the kind of sport that the child will be comfortable participating in”. No refunds will be issued “after” the scheduled fourth class day has ended. We do not give free classes. We do give a trial month. Registration Fees are not subject to refund. Students must participate in at least 3 of the 4 classes during this first month trial giving the child and parent a good indication of what the class is like.
Our Gym and Cheer Instructional Class Descriptions and age groupings:
Little Learners – 2 yrs to 4 yrs., 50 minute class: The class requires parent participating.
Our “little learners” utilize the whole gym. Developmentally appropriate skills are taught in a safe, non-structured class for the purpose of expanding each child’s movement potentials! This is a child directed class motivated by an environment of differing challenges each week. It is fun to watch them grow as they explore each gym setup. This gym experience also develops an “I can” attitude! Children will run, bounce, hang, swing, jump, balance, squeeze, and roll each week, thus, reinforcing and developing greater and greater coordination and confidence. Vocabulary is also enhanced as they interact with parents and teachers during their weekly environmental challenges. This interaction with teachers and parents is so valuable. One adult per child is required.
Jump’n Beans – 4 & 5 yrs., 50-minute class
This age group begins the teaching of “listening skills” and “group” instruction under the direction of a professional teacher. This is a great class, presenting your child with a fun environment while preparing them for the challenges of kindergarten. Learning to do activities in a group and learning to listen with their eyes and their bodies is essential for a child’s future success in a kindergarten and school environment. We also continue to develop an “I can attitude” in this class as we did in our “Little Learners” class. This is a teacher directed class. Parents are not allowed in the gym unless requested by the instructor.
KinderKids Gym– 5 to 7 yrs. (in kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade), 1-hour class
Our kindergarten classes follow the same fun, safe developmentally progressive program as our preschoolers but, because they are stronger and more focused the skills are acquired at a faster rate. Children are now introduced to more upper body skills such as handstands and cartwheels as they develop greater coordination skills learned previously. Of course listening skills are stressed during every class as directions are expanded in time and scope. The time and complexity of instruction increases with age and progress of each child. Each child has their own “mini” lesson plan depending upon each of their needs.
Youth Gymnastics-7 to 12 yrs, 1-hour class
Grouped by age and ability, these classes are taught on all gymnastics apparatus including a giant floor exercise area, in-ground trampoline, and tumble track. Classes begin with a stretching warm up and concentrate on two pieces of equipment, alternating weekly. Safety is our priority. Students will move on to more difficult skills only when they have mastered the basic skills with ease and confidence. Skill progression is accomplished in a very precise set of developmental activities and drills. Core strength development is basic to “all” sport skills for both girls and boys. What’s great about this class, anything learned will be passed on to greater skill development on every sport that a child will pursue in future years.
Tumbling, Trampoline, and Cheer Skills Class 10 yrs. & older, 1-hour class
The tumbling class focuses on tumbling skills and if desired, jumps needed for cheerleading. The spring floor and trampoline are used. Improve flexibility, coordination, agility, physical strength, and power. Bars, beam and vaulting is not taught in this class.
Advanced Team Development Program
Preteam – 7yrs & older, 1½ hour class – Invitation Only—Tryout required.
This 1½ class expands on the basics and highlights advanced skills on all equipment and in a progressive manner. Overall physical fitness and increased strength and flexibility will be stressed. Their are four classes per week. This is where each child feels the “physical difference” of conditioning for greater flexibility, agility, strength, and power as they learn the value of hard work to attain a greater and greater number of advanced skills and abilities. These classes are not for every child, but, they may be just what inspires your child. Gymnastics routines are taught with preparation toward the competitive experience.
